Spartanburg, SC- Amanda Jane Snowball, 55, died Sunday, February 14, 2021. Born June 3, 1965 in Preston, England, Amanda was a daughter of Sheila Whitcomb Snowball and the late Allan Snowball. She was a graduate of Dorman High School, where she excelled at soccer. Amanda was the first female to play on an all-boys team in South Carolina. She also played with Saint Giles Classic Soccer, competing all over the southeast. Amanda went on to play soccer for Spartanburg Methodist College before obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from USC. Amanda was loved by all who knew her and was known for her genuine kindness. That kindness was exemplified in how she cared for people and loved animals. In addition to her mother, Amanda is survived by her brothers, Lt. Col. Peter Snowball (Cathy) of Utah and Sean Snowball (Shannon) of Spartanburg, SC; and her nieces, Kiley Snowball and Blaize Pritchard. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
