Anne Horres Taylor

Spartanburg, SC- Anne Horres Taylor, 88, wife of the late Dr. Robert Hutchinson Taylor, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at her home. Born December 29, 1932 in Charleston, SC, Anne was a daughter of the late Henry and Marie Horres. She was a charter member of the Magnolia Debutante Club, a volunteer nurse at Jesse Boyd Elementary School, and a volunteer with the American Red Cross. Anne was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church Spartanburg. Anne is survived by her sons, David Taylor and his wife, Shelby, and Robert “Bob” H. Taylor, Jr. and his wife, Jackie; her daughter, Cathy D. Thomas; grandchildren, Rob Taylor (Colleen), Tripp Taylor (Bailey), Ryan Norton, Richard Taylor, Ben Taylor, and Meg Taylor; great grandchildren, Reid, Riley, and Elizabeth Taylor; a brother, Henry Horres, Jr.; and a sister, Jane Padgett. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Aubrey Horres; and two sisters, Shirley Anderson and Dale Helms. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 29th, 10AM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
