Anthony “Andy” Thomas Moon

Spartanburg – Anthony Thomas Moon, 69, husband of Julie Fanney Moon, died Saturday, March 12, 2022.

Andy was born on March 22, 1952 to the late Francis Edward and Margherita Abbruzzo Moon. He retired after 38 years of service with the New York State Department of Corrections.  Andy enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping and wood carving.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Anthony T. Moon, Jr. (Gina), Daniel R. Moon (Shirley), Timothy R. Moon (Christie), Brandon R. Seymour (Brenda); two brothers, Joseph Moon (Sue), Francis Moon (Sherry); sister, Cathy Lester; grandchildren, Anthony, Shawn, Emily, Jaden, Amelia, Brandon, Bailey, Colby; and his constant canine companion Maggie.

Andy was predeceased by a brother, Nicholas Moon.

A celebration of Andy’s life will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church officiated by Reverend Chris Snelgrove. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Walnut Grove United Methodist Church; 1335 Walnut Grove Road, Roebuck, SC 29376.
