Ashley Marie Varholy Mason, 30, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Born on July 14, 1993, in Greenville, SC, Ashley's impact on those around her was immeasurable.
Having graduated from Blue Ridge High School in 2011 and attended Greenville Technical College, Ashley was always eager to learn and grow both personally and professionally. Ashley's journey in life was marked by her unwavering commitment to caring for others. Her career as a daycare worker was not just a job but a calling that brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She touched the lives of countless children and their families with her kindness.
In addition to her successful career, Ashley found great fulfillment in her role as a wife and mother. A beautiful wife, excellent homemaker, and skilled cook, she created a warm and welcoming home for her family. Her proudest accomplishment was being a mother; she adored her miracle baby Kylah and poured all her love into nurturing and raising her. Described as loving, kind, and caring, Ashley had a soft soul and a pure heart that endeared her to all who knew her. She possessed the remarkable gift of bringing people together, even in the face of hardships. Her traditional values guided her through life's challenges, where she emerged stronger and more resilient.
Apart from her professional and family life, Ashley had a passion for decorating, especially during Christmas. Her creativity shone through in every festive display she carefully put together.
Ashley's memory will be cherished by many, including her husband, Stephen Erick Mason; daughter, Kylah Marie Mason – whom she treasured beyond words; and father, Robert "Todd" Varholy (Belinda). She was predeceased by her adoring paternal grandparents, Robert and Marie Varholy.
Services to honor and celebrate Ashley's life will be held at The J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM, conducted by Pastor Mitch Edge.
Ashley’s sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her. May we find solace in the memories we shared with this exceptional woman whose light will continue to shine brightly through all those she touched.
