Spartanburg, SC- Barbara Jean Floyd Foust, 77, died on April 13, 2017. A native of Philadelphia, PA. she was the daughter of the late Lt. Everett Floyd USN Ret. and the late Marie Brown Byers Floyd and was the wife of Gene R. Foust. Barbara attended Meredith College in Raleigh, NC and was graduated from the Rowan School of Nursing with honors. Barbara was a member of the State Nurse Executive Council, class officer and President of the Student Government. She held management positions at Tallahassee Regional and in Atlanta at DeKalb Regional. Barbara also held a part-time position at Spartanburg Regional. She was board certified in nursing in NC, FL, GA and SC. Barbara was a long-time member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Her family will remember her as the most tender and caring woman they have known. Her heartbeat was her son, Brian. Every day for 52 years she showed others what it means to love by the way she loved Brian. We are forever changed by her love. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Brian Kerr Foust of the home and Gene Eric Foust, Esq (Melyssa) of Spartanburg and two beloved grandsons, Ian Everett (Rett) and Ross Thomas. Also surviving is a sister, Ruth Marie Craft of Crownsville, MD. A private family memorial has been held. In remembrance of Barbara memorials may be made to Mobile Meals, P.O.
