Barry W. “Pop Pop” Bennett, Jr.

Moore – Barney Workman “Barry” Bennett, Jr, 64, husband of Elizabeth Myers Bennett, died Monday, January 17, 2022.

Barry was born on January 20, 1957, to Margie Compton Bennett and the late Barney W. Bennett, Sr.  He was an avid outdoorsman and lifelong Carolina Gamecock fan. Barry retired from Yellow Roadway Corporation after 34 years of service and was a member of The Church at the Mill.

In addition to his wife and mother, He is survived by a son Christopher Bennett Milojevich (Allyn) of Knoxville, TN; daughters, Audra Bennett DeVito (Carla) of Spartanburg, DeAnna Bennett of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Jeff Bennett (Susan) of Roebuck, Michael Bennett of Greenville; grandchildren Isaac and Daniel Milojevich, Christian and Leo Cruz; niece, Taylor Bennett; nephews, Tyler, Kyle, and Hunter (Shannon) Bennett.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Dunbar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society; 150 Dexter Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
