Beatrice Ahner, 89, beloved wife of the late Thomas Clarence Ahner, passed away on May 4th, 2024. Born on December 6th, 1934, in Bogota, Colombia, to Jorge and Paulina Garcia y Garcia, before making her way to the United States to start her family.

Beatrice began her professional journey at the Mexican Embassy in Bogota, Colombia, before embarking on a new chapter in Illinois, where she married her beloved husband, Thomas Clarence Ahner, in 1968. Their journey led them to Spartanburg in 1980, where Thomas worked for WSPA. She became a parishioner of Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church. Beatrice dedicated over 40 years of her life as a Senior Aerobic Instructor at Woodland Heights, leaving a lasting impact on her community.

A devoted mother, avid reader, and culinary enthusiast, Beatrice found joy in the simple pleasures of life and cherished spending time with her dear friends and family. Her caring nature and capacity to love endeared her to all who knew her.

Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Adriana Paula Ahner-Bray(Keith), and son, Brian Thomas Ahner, both of Spartanburg, SC, as well as several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, and her dear son-in-laws brother; Kevin Bray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Clarence Ahner.

Funeral services honoring Beatrice's life will be held on Friday, May 10th, 2024, at 2 P.M., at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in the Heritage Chapel Mausoleum.
