Spartanburg, SC- Benjamin Edley Dearybury, 84, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson, SC. Born April 11, 1933 in Cowpens, SC, Ben was the son of Dean and Lois Martin Dearybury. He was a graduate of Cowpens High School, Cecil’s Business College and served for two years in the U.S. Army. He was employed at Art Metal for ten years, Beverage Air Company for fifteen years, and retired from Progress Lighting after seventeen years of service. He was a member of Roebuck Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha Crocker Dearybury; and a son, Michael Dearybury. Ben is survived by one daughter, Tammy Humphries and her husband, Steve; two sons, Dean Dearybury and his wife, Renee, and Benny Dearybury and his wife, Elaine, all of Spartanburg. He has eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens and 11:00AM. The family will receive friends after the graveside services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glendale Cemetery Fund at P.O. Box 96, Glendale, S.C. 29376.
