Roebuck – Bertha Faye Lunsford Lawson, 89, wife of the late Robert Wilson Lawson, died Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

Bertha was born on October 28, 1932 to the late Curtis and Annie Navy Lunsford in Buffalo, SC. She was a graduate of Union High School and Cecil’s Business College.  Bertha was previously employed with Cudd and Coan Insurance and retired from Milliken after 23 years of service. She was a member of Roebuck Baptist Church.

Bertha is survived by two daughters, Susan Jennings (Jerry), Sandra Cassell (Douglas); a sister, Edith Lawson (Wayne); grandchildren, Austin Wilson Jennings and Zachary Markeith Jennings.

She was predeceased by a daughter Beth Diane Lawson; brothers, Dallas, Paul, Floyd Lunsford; sisters, Frances Williams, Gladys Lawson; granddaughter, Jessica Meagan Fine; and son-in-law, Thomas Kent Nolen.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Heritage Memorial Gardens, officiated by Reverend Dr. Tim Williams.  The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gibbs Cancer Center; 380 Serpentine Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303 or Roebuck Baptist Church; 1979 E. Blackstock, Roebuck, SC 29376.
