Bobby Ray Wilson

Spartanburg, SC- Bobby Ray Wilson, Sr., 84, husband of Marilyn Hoppes Wilson, died Monday, December 9, 2019. Born February 27, 1935 in Spartanburg, SC, Bobby was the son of the late Robert and Naomi Bishop Wilson. He honorably served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Bobby retired from Duke Energy after 20 years of service and worked as a self-employed contractor for 20 years following his retirement. He was a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Marilyn, Bobby is survived by his sons, Ben Blanton of Boiling Springs, SC and Wes Blanton of Aiken, SC; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by a son, Bobby R. Wilson, Jr. Funeral services with military honors will be held Friday, December 13th, 11:00AM at Dunbar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be private
