Spartanburg, SC- Brenda Ann Sloan Parham, 76, wife of the late Charles G. Parham, died Sunday, June 6, 2021 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born August 6, 1944 in Woodruff, SC, Ann was the daughter of Marvin Earl and Lucy Honeycutt Sloan. Her father, Mr. Sloan, was killed in World War II when Ann was four months old. She was raised by her mother, Lucy, and wonderful father, Carl B. Jackson. Ann attended Spartanburg High School and a business school. She was in sales the majority of her career, selling mobile homes, owning mobile home sales centers, and as the owner/operator of a truck driver recruiting company. Ann is survived by her daughter, Galena Gaw and her husband, Rob; a grandson that she adored, Christopher Charles Gaw; one great granddaughter, Madelyn Ann Phillips; a sister, Corlis Jackson King and her husband, David; a brother, Larry Sloan; nieces and nephews, Stephanie King, Sharon Austin, Jeffrey King, Carl Sloan, John Sloan, Jr., Sindy Clary, and Roxanne Parks; and her special friends that she loved very much, Arlene Molaison, Loretta Kappel, and Monica and Monte Moore. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, John E. Sloan; and nephews, Michael and Ray Sloan. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 9th, 2:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Carroll Caldwell. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be held in Sunset Memorial Park.
