Brenda Jean Kuykendall

Brenda Jean Kuykendall (77) of Spartanburg, SC saw her Savior face to face in the early hours of July 8th after a courageous earthly battle with pancreatic cancer. Brenda was born in Asheville, NC to the late Lawrence and Ruth Lindsey. As a young adult, she moved to Andrews, NC where she lived for 17 years before returning to Asheville. In 1999, Brenda moved to Spartanburg County where she lived for the remainder of her years. Brenda served as a medical office manager for many of her working years.

 Brenda is survived by her husband of 27 years, Doug Kuykendall; a son, Darby Owenby (Kelly) of Sterrett, AL; granddaughters, Bailey and Molly Owenby of Sterrett; two sisters, Gail Dailey (Larry “Goat”) of Mills River, NC and Mary Shuffler of Candler, NC; a brother, Jim Lindsey (Beth) of Asheville; nieces, Jennifer Brooks, Chasity Case, and Laura Lindsey; and nephews, Travis Dailey and Ryan Lindsey. She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Lindsey.

 The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 21 at River Hills Baptist Church in Moore, SC at 3:00 followed by a service at 3:30.
