Brenda Kaye Raines

Brenda Kaye Raines Spartanburg - Brenda Kaye Raines, 75, went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2018. A native of Spartanburg County, and daughter of the late, Calvin Lester Sr. and Vivian Devue Davis, she was a woman of strong will and character. She loved hard, worked hard, and fought hard. Brenda was an active member of Spartanburg Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she enjoyed the fellowship of her fellow church members. She retired from a self-owned tree service after many years of hard work.  Brenda loved her family, playing the organ, singing, and dancing. She leaves behind her companion, Gary Millwood, two sons: Donald Raines and Ronald Raines (Susan), two brothers: Calvin Lester Davis Jr. and David Wayne Davis, five grandchildren: Nicole Raines Wyatt (Johnny), Savannah Raines Turner (Neil), Chelsea Raines, Preston Raines, and Holly Raines, and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, April 9th, 2-3PM, with a funeral service immediately following at Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Spartanburg Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1217 John B White Sr. Blvd, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
