Landrum, SC- Brian Scott Bullis, 78, husband of 47 years to the late Patricia Bates Bullis, died Sunday, July 1, 2018 at his home. You may have known him as dad, brother, Grampie, Mr. B, uncle, “Shorty”, or friend. Regardless of what you called him, you would know how special of a man he was. He was admired for his quiet dignity and strength, his great intelligence and ingenuity, the great patience and generosity that he exuded, and his irresistible smile. Born September 7, 1939 in Chicago, IL, he was a son of the late Norm and June Bruchert Bullis. Brian was the owner of Bullis True Value Hardware for 40 years. He is survived by his son, John Bullis (Teri) of Spartanburg, SC; his daughters, Becky Jablonski (Dan) of Spartanburg, SC and Patty Seay (Gordon) of Lyman, SC; grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathon, Amanda, Blaine, Andrew, Devin, Gabriel, Kaitlyn, Kira, and Joseph; great grandchild, Carma; his brother, Patrick Bullis (Carol) of Marengo, IL; his sister, Bonnie Marler (Larry) of Texas; and his special childhood friend and recent girlfriend, Linda Zoellner. The family will receive friends Friday, July 6th, 10-11AM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow in the Chapel at 11AM. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
