Calvin Joseph Fogle

Calvin Joseph “Joey” Fogle, 67, beloved husband of Kim Willis Fogle, passed away peacefully on November 8th, 2024, in Charleston, SC, where he had made his home in recent years. A native of Spartanburg, Joey was the beloved son of Joe C. and Joanne Jordan Fogle, whom he loved and cherished deeply. 

Joey attended Spartanburg High School and later pursued further education at USC Upstate. In his younger years, he proudly earned the prestigious Order of the Arrow and Eagle Scout awards, reflecting his commitment to leadership and service. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, a passion that connected him to the great outdoors.

Joey was a member at First Baptist Spartanburg and loving husband to his wife Kim of 43 years.His wife Kim loved and cared for Joey many years through out his illness. He retired from a career with Northland Corporation in LaGrange, Kentucky where he made lasting contributions as a shipping/receiving manager. After retiring early, he and his family moved to Spartanburg, SC, then later to Charleston, SC, where he cherished spending quality time with his loved ones. Joey faced his battles with COPD and heart disease with remarkable strength and resilience, earning his wings after a courageous journey. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

A devoted husband, father, pop(grandfather), son and brother. Joey's family was his greatest treasure above all else. He is survived by his loving wife, Kim, and their children: son, Cameron Fogle; daughters, April Fogle, Abbey Childers (Josh), and Chelsea Fogle; and four cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey Vernon, Gracelyn Vernon, Anthony Childers, and Hailie Childers. Joey is also survived by his parents, Joe and Joanne Fogle; his brother, Todd Fogle (Jenny); and his sisters, Rhonda Lanford (Chip), Mimi Daves (Joe), and Lisa Timpson (Chris), among many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024, at the J.M. Dunbar Funeral Home, with a visitation starting at 2:00 PM, and the service following at 3:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Seth Buckley.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for donations to be made to Hope Center for Children in Spartanburg. PO Box 1731, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
