Carolyn Holcombe Henderson Newberry – Carolyn Holcombe Henderson, 79, died Friday, May 4, 2018. Carolyn was born on February 14, 1939 to the late Harmon and Ruth Bullington Holcombe. She loved her friends, was an avid reader and Elvis Fan. Carolyn is survived by her fiancé, James Burton of Newberry; son, Gene Henderson of Spartanburg; two daughters, Donna Cooke of Cowpens, Suzanne Wall (Allen) of Spartanburg; special friends, Betty Houk of Spartanburg, and Penny Poteat of Spartanburg. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Jennifer Shelton, Jacob Henderson, Jordan Henderson; six great-grandchildren, Ethan Shelton, Camden Shelton, Joshlyn Shelton, Elijah Belcher, Jace Belcher, and Alex Henderson. Carolyn was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Holcombe; and a grandson, Joshua Finks. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Dunbar Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel.
