Carolyn Tabor Kimbrell

Spartanburg, SC- Elizabeth Carolyn Tabor Kimbrell, 76, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 peacefully at the home of her daughter. Born December 21, 1942 in Tacoma, Washington, she was a daughter of the late Grover Douglas “Bud” Tabor, Jr. and Ruth Carolyn Bradley Tillotson. Carolyn retired as a Sergeant from Phillip Fibers/American Security of Greenville, SC. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sons, Dennis and Michael Wolfe, and Pink Kimbrell; a daughter, Melody Bray; and one granddaughter, Heather. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Sherry Cash of Chesnee, SC; her sister, Deborah Atkins of Boiling Springs, SC; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and a lifelong, loyal friend, Ann “Geter” Leso of Spartanburg, SC. Pallbearers will be, Mark Bray, Paul Atkins, Tyson Cash, Aidan Matthews, Ike Bray, and Johnny Horton. The family wishes to thank the staff of Interim Hospice of Spartanburg for their care. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 11th, 3:30PM in Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Sherry Cash.
