Carolyn Henderson Lee

Carolyn Henderson Lee, 90, of Stone Station, SC passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. She was born in Spartanburg, SC on September 1, 1934 to the late Grady Pate and Cornelia Flossie Martin Henderson.

A graduate of Chesnee High School, Carolyn dedicated over 30 years of service to the Spartanburg School District 6 cafeterias, retiring at the age of 72. She found joy in the simple things—reading, cooking, and listening to the timeless music of Elvis Presley. She also possessed a unique talent for cleaning and butchering deer.

A woman of deep faith, Carolyn was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and later attended Philadelphia Baptist Church. She loved her children fiercely and stood up for them with unwavering devotion.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, Michael Ray Lee (Dedra) and Kenneth Edgar Lee of Pauline; grandchildren, Daniel Lee, Savannah Lee, and Matthew Lee; great-grandson, Yewston Curry; and sister, Miriam Berry of Lexington, SC. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles “Ray” Lee, and her sister, Brenda Mason.

Visitation will be 1:00-1:45pm on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the chapel, conducted by Mr. Kevin Horres. Interment in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery will immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carolyn’s honor to Alzheimer’s Association.
