Carolyn Cooley Philbee

Carolyn C. Philbee Spartanburg, SC- Carolyn Cooley Philbee, 76, died Sunday, September 16, 2018, peacefully at her home. Born November 30, 1941 in Anderson County, Carolyn was a daughter of the late Walter Tilman and Nezy Bannister Cooley. She was a talented and passionate seamstress and quilter. Carolyn will always be remembered as a loving Mama and Mema. She is survived by her sons, Ray Harling (Karen) of Boiling Springs, SC and Donald Harling (Suzie Floyd) of Spartanburg, SC; her daughter, Nancy Bockstiegel (Randy) of Boiling Springs, SC; her grandchildren, Julie (Lisa), Morgan, Matthew Harling, Jennifer Cantrell (Jeremy), Tyler and Cameron Bockstiegel; great grandchildren, Jackson and Jacob Cantrell; her brothers, James “Brother” Cooley of Rutherfordton, NC and Thomas Cooley (Deborah) of Spartanburg, SC; and her sisters, Jean Harling (Henry) of Spartanburg, SC and Faye Wood of Roebuck, SC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 18th, 6-8PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 19th, 11:00AM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
