Carroll Dean Rhinehart

Pacolet, SC- Carroll Dean Rhinehart, 79, husband of Dicksie Lynn Greene Rhinehart, passed away after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease on Monday, June 20, 2022.

Born June 22, 1942 in Gaffney, SC, CR was a son of the late Carl and Daisy Scruggs Rhinehart. He was retired from the Spartanburg City Fire Department with 27 years of service. For 26 years, he was a faithful and dedicated service member and chairmen of the Commission Board for the Pacolet Fire Department. CR was a member of the Pacolet Lions Club and the Pacolet Lodge.

He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg.

In addition to his wife, Dicksie, CR is survived by his sons, Barry Rhinehart of Inman, SC and Rod Camp (Teri) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Dylan Thomas (Taylor), Carley Camp, Alexandria Rhinehart, and Kendall Camp; brothers, Raymond Rhinehart (Jane) and Ronnie Rhinehart (Rachel) both of Boiling Springs, SC; and a sister, Leoma Lee (John) of Spartanburg, SC.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Rhinehart; and two sisters, Louise Scruggs and Juanita Rhinehart.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 2nd, 11:00-11:45AM at First Baptist Church Spartanburg.

Funeral services will follow in the sanctuary at 12:00PM.

Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
