Cathy Toney

Cathy Toney, 69, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday January 27, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Cathy was born to the late Lula & Boyd A Gibbs Sr, on February 10, 1954 in Union, SC. She attended Union High School and later received her GED. She worked as a sales clerk & in manufacturing for many years. Cathy was a devoted Christian and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Roebuck, SC. Cathy cherished her time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Jewell. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Moss, and three brothers: Bobby Gibbs, Ray Gibbs, and Ronnie Gibbs. Cathy is survived by her loving husband, Milas Toney of 26 years; a sister, Brenda Price (Gene) and a brother, Sonny Gibbs (Della); three sons, Scott Tucker (Tina), Andy Tucker (Karen), Kevin Tucker (Kerri); and a step-daughter, Linda Ann Kirk (T.J.). Cathy is also survived by eight grandchildren: Gina Vaughan (Matt), Shelbi Tucker, Austin Tucker, Amberlynn Tucker, Kayson Tucker, Kollyn Tucker, Aiden Kirk, and Ivey Kirk; and one great grandchild, Greyson Vaughan. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at J.M. Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel.
