Cecil James Stewart

Spartanburg, SC- Cecil James “C.J.” Stewart, 89, husband of the late Margaret Ellen Cagle Stewart, died Saturday, December 11, 2021.

Born July 11, 1932 in Pennington Gap, VA, C.J. was a son of the late James and Eunice Turner Stewart. He was the owner and operator of C&S Exterminating and Cecil’s Small Engine Repair. C.J. was an avid outdoorsman and a member of Crossway Church.

He is survived by his daughters, Judy McDaniel (Vernon) of Robertsdale, AL, Sandra Parker (Jimmy Waters) of Rutherfordton, NC, and Donna Stewart (Larry Howard) of Piedmont, SC; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a brother, Durant Stewart; a sister, Margaret Ann Stevens; and a sister in-law, Susie Stewart.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by brothers, Harold, Billy Gene, and Rufus Stewart; and a sister, Geraldine Terry Wiseman.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 17^th, 11:00AM until 11:45AM at Dunbar Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 12:00PM in the Chapel, officiated by Reverend John Petty.

Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
