Charles Richard "Rich" Dyer

Charles Richard Dyer, 71, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 10,2024 in Roebuck, SC. Born in Washington, D.C., on February 15, 1953, he was the beloved son of the late Betty and Charles Dyer.

 Known as "Rich" or "Rick" by friends and family, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Suzzanne Dyer, who passed in 2021. He is survived by his two sons, Marc and Kenny Dyer, their partners, and his three siblings Cindy Shiplett, Karen Meyers, and Jeff Dyer. An avid reader, Rich also found joy in playing golf with friends and was a dedicated volunteer with The Friends of Spartanburg County Public Libraries. He was a passionate supporter of his hometown sports teams, cheering for the Maryland Terrapins, Washington Capitals, and Washington Commanders. Rich will be remembered for his kind spirit and his love for family. In line with his wishes, there will be no public memorial service.
