Christopher Charles Gaw

November 26, 1996 — April 16, 2023

Christopher (Chris) Charles Gaw, 26, was born on November 26, 1996 in Spartanburg to Robert George and Galena Parham Gaw.

Chris is a graduate of Spartanburg High School and attended Spartanburg Community College.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Barbara and Robert Elliott; life partner, Bridget Phillips; daughter, Madelyn Phillips; and siblings, Robyn McCarthy and her husband, Mark, and Justin King Gaw and wife, Ashley; uncles, James and wife, Kelli, and Roy and wife, Crystal Gaw; aunt, Elizabeth Gaw; and great aunt, Corlis King and husband, David.

Chris was predeceased by grandparents, Charles and Ann Parham, and Graham Gaw.

Chris never met a stranger, accepted everyone, and had friends from all walks of life. He loved to laugh and drew people in with his charming personality and quick wit. He was a music fan with eclectic taste, enjoyed watching USC football, riding jet skis, fishing, eating anything hot, hanging out with his dog, Charlie, and working with his hands. He enjoyed making furniture from old sewing machines and mill spools. He was a most respectful and mannerly young man. Chris has left a void in our hearts that only he could fill.

Although not with us, Chris was an organ donor and has blessed other families with his gift of life.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 21st, 2-3PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the Chapel at 3PM.
