Corey Christopher Rice

Spartanburg, SC- Corey Christopher Rice, 27, son of Rhonda Kaye Shook Rice and the late Scottie Allen Rice, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Corey was born December 29, 1993 in Spartanburg, SC and was a graduate of Dorman High School. He was previously employed with Emerging Communications and was a mechanic by trade. Corey was a member of Grace Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Bradley Wayne Rice of the home; a brother, Scottie A. Rice; his maternal grandmother, Gail Bridges Shook; and his special Uncle Roger and Aunt Bet. Corey was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Richard C. Shook; and paternal grandparents, Ann Fuller Ellison and Lamar Rice. Graveside services will be held Sunday, December 12th, 2:00PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will greet guests at the graveside following the service. In remembrance of Corey, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Spartanburg, Encouraging Word, 250 E.
