David Ellis Brown, 71, beloved husband of Keris Martin Brown, passed away on April 25th, 2024. Born in Spartanburg, SC, on May 23rd, 1952, he was the loving son of Robert Claude and Patsy Ellis Brown. David's life was characterized by his devotion to family, his passion for Clemson athletics, and his dedication to his work.

After graduating from Spartanburg High School, David pursued higher education at Clemson University.  His allegiance to the Tigers was a central part of his identity, and he remained a devoted fan throughout his life.  David resided in Pauline for 31 years, which he considered God’s country.

David's professional career was marked by his commitment and hard work as an employee of Freightliner, from where he went on to retire. Outside of work, David found joy and relaxation in various hobbies, including cooking, riding motorcycles, camping, and vacationing in the mountains and at the beach. These activities allowed him to unwind and appreciate the beauty of the world around him.

Above all, David treasured his roles as a husband, father, son, and grandfather. In addition to his wife, Keris, he leaves behind his mother, Patsy Ellis Brown, a son, Matthew Brown, a daughter, Annie Sinobas, stepdaughters; Kristin Westmoreland (Ben) and Dana Lowe(Matt), a brother; Todd Brown, a sister; Diane Covington(David), and grandchildren Isabella and Ariana Sinobas, Knox Westmoreland, Levi and Sadie Lowe, nephew Jon Covington(Jen), niece Meredith Clayton, and great-nieces Maggie and Sibby Clayton. David was preceded in death by his father; Robert Claude Brown. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27th, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., at the J.M. Dunbar Funeral Home.
