David Munro Fudge

Fountain Inn,  SC- David Munro Fudge, 87, passed away Tuesday January 28, 2025. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Karen Emma Frigon Fudge.

Born in Spartanburg SC, David was the son of the late Fredric William Fudge and Florence Kelly Fudge. He was predeceased by his brother, Graydon Keith Fudge. He was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Advent in Spartanburg.

David in High School loved music and was a drummer in the High School Band and after graduating went on to attend Clemson University for 2 years. He joined the United States Air Force honorably serving his country.

David met his wife in Washington DC while both were serving in the Air Force. They settled in Spartanburg where he worked for over 35 years as a Salesman with Wallace Computer Services.

David was a cornerstone member of the Board of Directors of the St Luke’s Free Medical Clinic in Spartanburg. He served his community by being appointed Commander of the Warbirds and also a member of the American Legion overseeing many local Airshows.

David was not only a devoted and loving husband, but also a beloved Father, Grandfather and Great Grand Pop Pop. He is survived by his son Christopher Munro Fudge (Erin Colleen Stickney) of St. Petersburg FL; his daughter Patricia Fudge Bowman (Matthew Thomas Bowman) of Simpsonville SC; grandchildren, Cody Thomas Bowman, Noah Graydon Bowman, Samuel William Bowman, Katherine Isabel Fudge and William McCormick Nielsen of Colorado Springs CO; great grandchildren, Baylor Thomas Bowman of Anderson SC and Adeline Irene Monks of Red Bluff CA.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 7, 2025, 2:00 PM at The Episcopal Church of the Advent 141 Advent Street Spartanburg SC 29302, officiated by The Reverend Paula Griffin and The Reverend Christiana (Christie) Walton. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Parish and Community Life Center.
