Dennis Ray Brannon of Woodruff, SC passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024. He was born in Spartanburg, SC on August 10, 1948, son of the late Cyrus Lamar and Juanita Calloway Brannon.

A graduate of Boiling Springs High School, Dennis enlisted in the United States Navy. After his military service, he entered the building supply business and led a successful career in sales. Dennis was also a licensed home builder and talented gardener. He loved his family, his many pets, and his church family at St. Matthews Episcopal Church.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sally Foster Brannon; son, John Adam Brannon (Kent); daughter, Ann-Margaret Brannon Somers; grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Brannon, Jackson Brannon Somers, Caroline Calloway Brannon, and Foster Sullivan Somers; and one sister, Kathy Brannon Pearson (Steve). Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Robert “Bob” Brannon and Donald Brannon; and sister-in-law, Clarke Brannon.

Memorial services with Military Honors will 4:00pm on Friday, May 17, 2024 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, conducted by Father Rob Brown. The family will receive friends following the service.
