Donna Marie Garrison Domingo

Donna Marie Garrison Domingo, 86, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024. She was born in Delhi, NY on September 30, 1938, daughter of the late Milford and Annice Shaw Garrison. 

Donna was raised in Sidney, NY and graduated from Sidney Central High School (Class of 1956) and Business School (Class of 1958). She was a secretary for many years. 

Travel was Donna’s passion. She traversed the globe extensively, but her favorite place, and home for may years, was Rota, Spain. She was Methodist, and a devoted member of Naval Station Rota Chapel. Donna volunteered often at the naval base, welcoming new sailors monthly with open arms and blueberry muffins. 

A truly kind, generous woman, Donna will be remembered for her loving spirit. She made a point to stay in touch with everyone she knew, calling, texting, and sending birthday cards. Donna deeply loved her family and friends and was especially thrilled by the arrival of her great-granddaughter, Sophia.

Donna leaves behind many who will miss her, including her step-children, Mark Marquez of Brandon, FL, Greg Marquez (Deanna) of Valrico, FL, and Linda Floyd (Andrew) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Amanda Kuemper (Alex), Olivia Marquez, Isabel Marquez, Anthony Marquez, Brian Marquez, Thomas Marquez, and David Marquez; great-granddaughter, Sophia Kuemper; and cousins, Leaonard and Susan Shaw. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Santiago Domingo, and second husband, Henry Marquez.

The family will hold a private committal service in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donna’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
