Dorothy Jefferies Hutto Spartanburg – Dorothy Allene Jefferies Hutto, 81, wife of the late D.M. Hutto, Jr., died Saturday September 8, 2018. She was born on December 25, 1936 to the late J. Eb and Allene Garner Jefferies. Dot was a 1958 graduate of Limestone College and after a 30-year teaching career, retired from Inman Elementary School. Affectionately called Nana by her family, she loved Edisto Beach, and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Dot is survived by two daughters, Sharon and her husband, Bobby Welborn of Spartanburg, DeAnn and her husband Kevin Yates of Suwanee, Georgia; four grandchildren, Hannah Deahl and her husband Alex, Michael Welborn and his wife Aubrey, Caroline Yates, Jackson Yates; two great-grandchildren, McKinley Welborn, Emerson Deahl; brother-in-law, Keith Hutto of Mt. Pleasant; and her sister, Linda McCraw of Gaffney. The family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 2:00PM on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in the Family Life Center at Morningside Baptist Church.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00PM, in the sanctuary, officiated by Rev. Steven Owensby and Rev. Jack Dodds.
