Dr. William A. Corso

Spartanburg, SC- Dr. William A. Corso, retired Colonel of the US Army Dental Corp, died Saturday, February 19, 2022 at age 95.

He was the son of the late Dr. Xavier and Margaret Corso of Wisconsin. Dr. Corso spent the last part of WW2 in the Merchant Marine and Army. He then attended Creighton University, Omaha, where he earned his BS and DDS and returned to the Army Dental Corp for 28 years. In 1997, he moved to Spartanburg, SC.

Dr. Corso is survived by his wife, Jody; their three sons; eight grandchildren; and two great grandsons. They include Tony and Kathy Corso, daughter, Lisa and Eddie Mario, twin sons, Addison and Nolan, daughters, Melina and Caralyn Corso; Dr. Steven and Mary Alice Corso and sons, Michael and Catherine Corso, David Corso, Matthew and Hannah Corso; John and Suzanne Corso, son, Andrew, and daughter, Elizabeth Corso. Other family members include two sisters, Mary Cofta and Jo LaPointe.

Dr. Corso was devoted to the dental care of our military, where he served with honor. He was always grateful that his family accepted the vagabond life of the military and appreciated their cooperation, willingness and good humor when it was time to move again. When his grandchildren came along, his life was complete. His only regret was he could not live near them all. His love, dry wit, and humor will be missed by all his family, but they are comforted in the knowledge that he is safe in the arms of our Lord.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 26^th, 8:30AM at Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
