Elbert "Buddy" Durant Mullins, Jr.

Elbert D. “Buddy” Mullins, Jr. Moore – Elbert Durant “Buddy” Mullins, Jr., 81, husband of Jane Gregg Mullins, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021. Buddy was born on June 8, 1940, to the late Elbert D. Mullins, Sr. and Sarah Huntley Mullins. He was also predeceased by a brother, Ned Huntley Mullins of Spartanburg. In addition to his wife of 46 years, Buddy is survived by a daughter, Teresa Wyndham (John) of Moore; three sons, Michael Mullins (Tammy), Travis Mullins (Jessica), Ethan Mullins, all of Moore; sister, Louise Parris (Keith) of Spartanburg; and a brother, Arthur “Moon” Mullins (Nesie) of Moore. Buddy was blessed with six grandchildren, Adam Wyndham, Zack and John Marc Wingo, Bailey Mullins, Jake and Eli Mullins. Much like Buddy’s childhood heroes, he was the strong, silent type. He was an amazing man, a great husband, father, uncle, brother, and friend. He took great pride in providing for his family. Anyone who spent time with him respected him as a man of his word. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Dunbar Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Scott Neely. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
