Spartanburg, SC -- Elizabeth D. Holliday, 92, wife of the late Burnnie Lee Holliday, Sr., passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023.
Born January 11, 1930 in Columbia, SC, Betty was a daughter of the late Ernest and Carrie Duensing. She was a graduate of Columbia High School and worked for Holiday Inn for many years before her retirement.
Betty was a member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg. She loved children and served in her gifting in the church daycare nursery for many years. Betty also enjoyed playing the piano and did for many years at several Assembly of God churches, where her husband pastored.
Betty is survived by her children, Lee (Catherine), Renee (Charlie), David (Teresa), Kent (Tammy), and Elizabeth (Jon); sixteen beloved grandchildren; 28 adored great grandchildren; and 4 sisters-in-law (Pauline Wallace, Gerry Holliday, Maxine Fountain, and Patsy Groce); and beloved niece and her husband, Harriet (Floyd) Nolan
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Joy; and her five siblings.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 7th, 10:00AM until 10:45AM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the Chapel at 11:00AM, officiated by Reverend Brian Redding and Reverend Steve Skinner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the International Missions fund at First Baptist Church Spartanburg, 250 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
