Elizabeth Tillotson Towe

Spartanburg, SC- Lib Towe, 93, wife of the late Wallace S. Towe, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Eden Terrace.

Born April 6, 1928 in Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Howard Fitzgerald and Bernice Cole Tillotson. Lib was a Charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, serving on The Pilot Club, Mobile Meals, the Women’s Circle Group, the Thirty Niners, the Pastoral Care Team, Bereavement Coordinator, and many more. She was an Elder, a member of the choir, and was awarded the Honorary Lifetime Membership by the Presbyterian Women’s Group.

Lib was a precious, giving, and selfless lady who lived a life of service to the Lord and her church.

She is survived by her stepdaughter, Melody Glinn; brother, Albert W. Tillotson; nieces and nephew, Terry Weldon (John), Rhonda Van Liew (Gary), Dan Tillotson, and Sandra Woody (Michael); great nieces and nephews, Maggie Lewis (Chuck), Christina Tillotson (Brandon), Evan Sanders, Laura Bailey (Lance), Andrew Woody, Makenna Van Liew (Zack), Ian Tillotson (Allie), Gentry Van Liew, and Caroline Woody; and great-great nieces and nephews, Bryce, Clark, Caidyn, Wren, and Cecylia.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph R. Tillotson, Everett B. Tillotson and Dr. John H. Tillotson; and nieces and nephew, Joe C. Tillotson, Jane T. Rogers, and Dr. Patty T. Reid.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 3^rd, 10:00-10:45AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM, officiated by Reverend Dale Rawlings.

Entombment will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
