Ena Jean Brown Page of Greenville, SC, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. She was born in Spartanburg, SC to Arthur Cephus and Kathleen Wood Brown. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Oren Ned Page. She was also predeceased by siblings, Ruby Davis, Edith Stephens, Jimmy Brown, and Ted Brown. She is survived by brothers, AC and Bill Brown; brother-in-law, Rev O. Ted Page (Sue); son, Michael Ned Page (Tina); daughter, Kay Page Lewis (Lindsay); and son, Phil Arthur Page (Gaye). She was the proud grandmother of Alexander Page Lewis (Mary Towles), Andrew Michael Page (Beth), Robert Lindsay Lewis III, Hannah Kathleen Page, and Thomas Matthew Page, and great-grandmother to Duncan Towles Lewis. She spent most of her working career as an employee of JC Penny in various bookkeeping capacities. Jean was a longtime, faithful member of Augusta Road Baptist Church. She served in numerous roles, including the crib nursey for over 15 years, and was later instrumental in leading the church’s Community Kids program. She had a special love for all children. Jean enjoyed having the entire family together for the family’s annual beach trip. She was known by family and friends for her southern home-style cooking and care for others. Family visitation and service will be held at Augusta Road Baptist Church, Greenville, SC on February 1, 2024. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am in the sanctuary followed by the service at 12:00 pm. A graveside service will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park at 1:00 pm. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire Eden Terrace staff for the love and care they provided her the past 2 years. We would also like to thank the Family Hospice staff that cared for her as well in the latter days of her life.
