Ereline Hawkins Satterfield Benson
Ereline Hawkins Satterfield Benson, 87, of Spartanburg, SC died November 17, 2021.
Born in Spartanburg, SC on February 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late JT and Vera Mae Baynes Hawkins and was the widow of the late Joe Satterfield and the late Harold Benson.
She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church. Ereline was a member of Canaan Church Choir for 63 years and taught children in Sunday School, Sunday night and Wednesday nights for years. She was retired from Service American Kitchen as a cook at Union Camp Inc.
Ereline is survived by her son Phillip Satterfield (Linda) of Roebuck; sister, Shelbia Green of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Brandy Satterfield, Olivia Ott, Tyler West, Brent Satterfield all of Spartanburg, Benjamin West of Washington State; two step-grandchildren, Jared Simmons and Kelly Thackston of Woodruff; Great-grandchildren, Dillan McAlister, Emma Grace Childers of Spartanburg, Callie Satterfield, Addison Satterfield, Madeline Ott, Ayden Ott all of Spartanburg; four step-great-grandchildren, Abby Simmons, Will Simmons of Enoree, Natalie Thackston, Alasia Thackston of Woodruff; three stepchildren, Sammy Benson of Boiling Springs, Kay Hayes of Boiling Springs, and Juanita Pesaro of Moore.
She was predeceased by her daughter Vickey Satterfield West and a sister, Mildred Hawkins Green.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM officiated by Rev. Darrell Revels and Rev. Tyler West. Interment will follow in the Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery.
