Spartanburg, SC- Floyd Ray Worley, 91, husband of Jayne Elliott Worley, died Saturday, December 25, 2021. Born October 29, 1930 in Gueydan, LA, he was a son of the late A.B. and Nolia LaPoint Worley. He was a graduate of Gueydan High School, honorably served in the US Air Force, and was a former softball umpire. Ray was employed with the National Weather Bureau for 2.5 years and retired from NSA, National Security Agency, after 37 years. Following his retirement, Ray worked at the US Air Arena. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, Jayne, Ray is survived by his daughter, Eileen W. Krauze of Simpsonville, SC; step son, Ben Phillips (Starr) of North Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Devin W. RaJah (Ahmon) of Arnold, MD, Erika Krauze (John) of Greenville, SC, Ryan Krauze of Summerville, SC, Jeremy Krauze of Greenville, SC, Jason Worley of Arnold, MD, Shaylee P. Sanchez (Sam) of Rock Hill, SC, Zoey M. Phillips, and Zaley S. Phillips, both of North Charleston, SC; and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife of 54 years, Patricia Nau Worley; a son, Donald Ray Worley; brothers, William Robert Worley and Albert Gayle Worley; and three sisters, Flora Mae Worley, Edith W. Heard, and Beverly Worley. Services will be private. The family will be at their respective homes.
