Frank Albert Griffith Spartanburg, SC- Frank A. Griffith, 87, husband of Anna Alewel Griffith, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Born November 3, 1935 in Jacksonville, FL, Frank was a son of the late Ruth Christmas Griffith and Bennie Willis Griffith. He retired from Lockwood Greene Engineering Firm after 30 years of service, where he was recognized as the very first Director of Construction Management and Director of Safety. Frank was a member of Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church for 47 years, during which time he served in the prison ministry, taught Sunday school, and was a ruling elder. He was also a board member of Mission to North America. Frank loved to spend time with his family, play golf, read, and cook. Frank was a devoted husband to his wife, Anna, a beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather. In addition to his wife, Anna, he is survived by his children, Nancy Griffith McFadden and her husband, David, Banks Albert Griffith and his wife, Lynn, and Gaylea Griffith Turner and her husband, Carroll; grandchildren, Caroline McFadden Winograd (Noah), Anna McFadden Bane (Tim), Wesley Andrew Turner (Alexis), Elizabeth Turner Walker (Jonathan), Logan Alewel Griffith, and Evan Alexander Griffith (Kristina); and four great grandchildren, Noah David Winograd, Jr., Charles Benjamin Winograd, Timothy Andrew Bane, and Charlotte Rose Bane. He was predeceased by his four older brothers, Bennie Willis Griffith, Jr., Capers DeChamps Griffith, Banks Goodale Griffith, and Rufus Allen Griffith. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 3rd, 1:00-2:15PM at Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:30PM, officiated by Reverend Richard Thomas. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt.
