Frank J. Lucarelli Spartanburg, SC- Frank John Lucarelli, 87, husband of Peggy Sparrow Lucarelli, died Monday, July 2, 2018 at his home. Born August 17, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY, Frank was a son of the late Dominic and Maria Chirico Lucarelli. He was a Korean War veteran, faithfully serving his country in the US Marines. Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman, and always enjoyed his time at the Bogue Inlet Pier in Emerald Island, NC. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his wife of 64 years, he is survived by his sons, Dr. Richard Lucarelli (Sandra) of Spartanburg, SC, John Lucarelli of Staten Island, NY, and Thomas Lucarelli (Tony Cooley) of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Morgan and Haden Lucarelli; and his brother, Ralph Lucarelli (Ruth) of Brooklyn, NY. Frank was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Loconte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 5th, 12:00 noon at Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church. A private burial will be held at a later date in the Oakdale Cemetery in Washington, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Foundation, 101 E Wood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.JMDunbar.com.
