Boots E. Lanford

Roebuck, SC- Boots Lanford, 76, beloved husband of Linda Gail Brady Lanford, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022.

Born November 26, 1945 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Rex and Mabel Staggs Lanford. Boots was a graduate of Dorman High School and was a skilled mechanic and craftsman. He was a member of Roebuck United Methodist Church and the Roebuck Masonic Lodge #357.

Boots was a founding member of the Confederate Classics Car Club and enjoyed attending classic car shows. However, his favorite pastime was fishing and spending time with his family on the lake.

In addition to his loving wife of 56 years, Boots is survived by his children, Kelli Grant of Inman, SC and Staci Waddell (Derek) of Moore, SC; his sisters, Frances Turner (John) of Moore, SC, Jo Ledford (Jack) of Gaffney, SC, Carolyn Setzer (C.O.) of Winston Salem, NC, Margaret Nodine (Jim) of Roebuck, SC, Brenda Adams (Jerry) of Roebuck, SC, and Sandra Harris (Robert) of Florence, SC.

He was proud Pop to Alex Lavender (Miley) of Reidville, SC; proud Papa to Jake and Noah Grant of Inman, SC; and proud Pop Bootsey to Olivia and Iylah Kate Lavender of Reidville, SC.

Boots was predeceased by a sister, Etta Owens of Spartanburg, SC; and son in-law, Randall Lavender of Moore, SC.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 13th, 4-6PM at Dunbar Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 14th, 2:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Jones Brewer and Reverend Ed Enlow.

Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
