Gary Keith Hartwig

Spartanburg, SC- Gary Keith Hartwig, 70, husband of the late Joyce Ann Hartwig, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at his home. Born January 1, 1947 in Quincy, IL, Gary was a son of Areva Lair Hartwig and the late Earl Hartwig. He honorably served his country in the US Air Force. Gary is survived by his sons, Jared Hartwig (Ariel) of Charleston, SC and Jason Hartwig (Karen Peters Van Essen) of Los Angeles, CA; two grandchildren, Connor Tipton and Chelsea Hartwig; and two brothers, Rodger Hartwig (Karen) and Michael Hartwig, both of Gastonia, NC. A celebration of his life will be held at his home on Saturday, November 11th, at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Center of the Carolinas, 120 Dillon Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
