George Marion Smith

Roebuck- George Marion Smith, 87, husband of Blanch Sherbert Smith, died Friday, August 19, 2022.

George was born on December 3, 1934, to the late Qunnie and Mary Vinson Smith.  He honourably served his country in the US Army. Geroge retired from Mayfair Mill; Bailey Plant after many years of service.  He was an avid Nascar and dirt track fan who loved the outdoors.  Geroge was a Mason, Arcadia Lodge 385 and a York Rites Shriner.

George was predeceased by two sisters, Irene Smith and Annie Ruth Graham.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Dunbar Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
