George C Zygmuntowicz

Moore – George C. Zygmuntowicz, 74, husband of Jane Kotania Zygmuntowicz, died Saturday, July 29, 2017. He was born on June 30, 1943 to the late Kazimierz and Wladyslawa Litewka Zygmuntowicz. George spent his career working as a textile chemist, most recently with the Kelada family, as Plant Chemist at Spartan Dyers in Belmont, NC. In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by a son, George Zygmuntowicz (Alisha); daughters, Lisa Rockett, Julia Walshire (Tom); brothers, Zenon Zygmuntowicz (Anna), Andrzej Zygmuntowicz; beloved cousins, Adam Zygmuntowicz (Judy), Janice Buczynski; sisters in-law, Irene, Beverly, Carol; and other extended family. George was blessed with nine grandchildren, Cailin (Ben), Aiden (Collin), Delaney, Eva, Tomas, Natalie, Joey, Elijah, and Zachary. He was predeceased by his father in-law, Julian Kotania; mother in-law, Ewa Kotania;  uncle, Zenon Zygmuntowicz; aunt, Mary Zygmuntowicz; brothers in-law, Chester Wolski, Chester Kotania, and Teddy Kotania. A funeral mass will be held at 12 noon on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gibbs Cancer Center; 101 E Wood St, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home.
