Hazel Fowler Nanney

Moore, SC- Hazel Fowler Nanney, 86, wife of the late Arnold Nanney, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Born May 22, 1936 in Honolulu, HI, Hazel was a daughter of the late Major Eli Sherwood Fowler, Sr. and Mrs. Hazel Beryl Fowler. She received her Masters from USC and taught the 2^nd grade at Lone Oak Elementary for 25 years. Hazel was a member of Tyger River Presbyterian Church.

Hazel is survived by her children, Denise White and Lee Nanney; grandchildren, Ashley White Jackson of Charleston, SC and Kelly White Lewis of Pawley’s Island, SC; great grandchildren, Mary McDowell Jackson, Julia Jackson, both of Charleston, SC and Banks Lewis of Pawley’s Island, SC; and her sister, Elise Roberts of Houston, TX.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 3^rd, 10:00am until 10:45am at Tyger River Presbyterian Church. The funeral will follow at 11:00am, officiated by Pastor Hudson Neely and Reverend Monty King. Burial will be held in Westwood Memorial Gardens.
