Heather Gardner Adams

Heather Gardner Adams Spartanburg – Heather Gardner Adams, 49, died unexpectedly Monday, June 3, 2019. She was born on November 2, 1969 at Seymore Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, NC to Joel Eugene and Brenda Gardner Adams. Heather was a 1987 Graduate of Spartanburg High School and received a BA Degree from the University of South Carolina, where she was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority.  She was a Claim Specialist for State Farm Insurance in Charleston SC and Nationwide Insurance in Raleigh NC prior to returning to Spartanburg.  Heather dedicated her life to the loving care of her four children; Isabella, Lilly, Michael, and Hunter.  She graciously volunteered her time to sporting events, bake sales, carpooling, and all other activities involving her children. In recent years, Heather was a dugout mom for two of her children.  She was also a passionate volunteer in her community. Heather was loved by everyone and will be deeply missed by all.  She was truly one of a kind. In addition to her parents and children, Heather is survived by her brother, Joe E. Adams, Jr.; two sisters, Julie B. Adams, Jessica A. Spigner (Michael); three aunts, Mellnee Buchheit, Mary Hammock (Jerry), Libby Dym; an uncle, Jay Adams (Virginia); three nephews, Russel Adams, Chase Adams, and Luke Spigner. A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg. A private interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In remembrance of Heather, memorials may be made to the Hope Center for Children; 202 Hudson L Barksdale Blvd, Spartanburg, SC 29306 or the charity of one’s choice.
