Helen “Nicky” Macklin-Hocker Spartanburg - After a valiant battle with cancer, Helen "Nicky" Macklin-Hocker (Nichols) went to be with the Lord.   She is survived by her sons, Joseph and Preston; her husband, Joel; her parents, Bea and James; her in-laws; Dave and Judy; her siblings and their spouses, Marybeth and Shawn, Phillip and Angela; her nieces, Victoria, Caroline and Gabriella; and nephews, Jacob and Maxwell. Helen left a beautiful legacy of love and adventure.  She had an exuberant, passionate personality and was a glowing example of living life fully. Her lovely spirit touched many and she will be missed by all who knew her. She will be remembered in a Celebration of Life Ceremony at her home on Saturday, September 16th from 1 – 4PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Gibbs Cancer Center or the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
