Helen Martin Young

Helen Martin Young of Boiling Springs, SC passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025 at the age of 96. She was born in Union, SC on September 25, 1928 to the late Fred and Edda Martin.

A graduate of Spartanburg High School, she went on to work with Reeves Brothers. Helen then was employed with Spartan Food Systems for 20 years until she retired. She was a devoted Christian woman and member of First Baptist Spartanburg for many years.

Helen is survived by her son, Phil Crocker; daughter, Phyllis Rimel (Roy); grandchildren, Amy Lee, Malisa Williams, and Lindsay Crocker; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and brother, Bob Martin. She was predeceased by her husband, George C. Young; granddaughter, Abby McCutcheon; two brothers and three sisters.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Mindy Bergin with hospice and the staff at Wesley Court Assisted Living for their wonderful care of Helen.

Graveside services will be 12:00pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Trey Williams.
