Herman Kenneth Mullis, Jr.

Moore, SC- Herman Kenneth Mullis, Jr., 40, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at his home. Born February 7, 1981 in Dahlonega, GA, Ken was the son of Jennifer Kelly Parris Stolaas and the late Herman Kenneth Mullis, Sr. He honorably served his country in the US Army, serving 3 tours in Iraq. During his time in Iraq, Ken earned an Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, USA/USAF Presidential Unit Citation, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, a Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, and an Army Service Ribbon. Ken loved to travel and could often be found hiking the trails around the North & South Carolina Mountains and state parks. In addition to his mother, he leaves behind his daughter, Vivian Elizabeth Mullis of Greer, SC; his sister, Rachel Kaye Mullis of Enoree, SC; his stepfather, Kevin Stolaas; and his beloved canine companion, Porterhouse. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 12th, 2-4PM at Dunbar Funeral Home.
