Isaac Kemp Williams, known as Kemp, passed June 6th from just plain old age! Born August 8, 1922, raised in Jacksonville, Florida, he then was in the Air Corps in WWII and went on to the University of Florida on the GI Bill. At Liberty Mutual he met Mary and had a long career with both: 30 Years with Liberty and 70 years with Mary. Music has always been in Kemp’s life, starting with drums in the middle school band, playing in a big band during college, and then the Shriners and his Oompah bands during retirement. I know Kemp and Mary will be dancing in heaven, together again. Kemp is survived by his son Jonathan Williams and his daughter, Emily, of Columbia SC; and daughter, Nancie Williams and her husband, Ed Burnam, and their daughter, Blake, of Charlotte NC. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 18th, 10:00AM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at the Piedmont Club.
