Jack Austin Cash, Sr., passed away on January 10th, 2024, at the age of 94. Jack was born on January 14th, 1929, to the late Eunice Chandler and Boyce "Skinner" Cash. A proud Navy Veteran and dedicated member of the Shriner organization, Jack served his country with honor. For 32 years, he contributed to society as a truck driver, showcasing his strong work ethic. Jack's diverse skills earned him the reputation of being a jack of all trades, embracing each endeavor with passion. Among his favorite pastimes were fishing and motorcycle rides, activities that brought him immense joy. Jack's life was marked by a love for his family, including his daughter, Deborah Kay Lane of Cross Hill, SC. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Bradley Austin Cash, Edward Raymond Lane, and Betty Allison Lane, as well as his great-grandchildren: Matthew, Chloee, Dalton, Nevaeh, Austin, and Aubrey Lane and brother, JR Wood. Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Cash, a daughter, Linda Jo Cash, a son, Jack Austin Cash Jr., and his brothers: Bobby Cash and Wilbur Cash. A memorial service to celebrate Jack's life will be held on Monday, January 15th, 2024, at 2 P.M. at the J.M. Dunbar Funeral Home, with a receiving of friends following the service. The family expresses sincere gratitude to Jack's life partner, Jenol Johnson, for her companionship and support.
